Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Pokercat (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the website at https://poker-cat.com and the web application at https://app.poker-cat.com (together, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

Account data. Sign-in is handled by a third-party identity provider. When you create an account, we receive and store a unique user identifier and, where available, your email address, display name, and avatar. We never receive or store your password.

Hand and gameplay data. When you use the Service, we store the poker hand data you submit or that the Service captures on your behalf — including hole cards, board cards, positions, stack sizes, bet amounts, and the strategy queries and results associated with each hand. This data is used to provide strategy suggestions, hand history, and statistics, and is visible only to you (and to us for operating the Service). We do not publish your hand data or share it with other users.

Support communications. If you contact us (for example by email), we keep the content of that correspondence.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Service use and log data. Like most web services, our servers record technical logs: IP address, browser type and version, requested pages/endpoints, timestamps, and error diagnostics. We use this data for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

Billing records. We record your credit balance, credit transactions (top-ups and per-use deductions), and payment order metadata (package, amount, order status). See Section 3 for what the payment provider handles.

Cookies and local storage. We use cookies and browser storage for essential purposes: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and securing the Service. If analytics are enabled on our website, they are used to measure aggregate site traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

C. Screen Capture and Recognition

Some features of the Service can read the state of a poker table from your screen using capture and recognition performed locally in your browser. Raw screen images are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers; only the recognized structured game state (cards, stacks, bets) is sent to the Service to produce strategy suggestions and hand records.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • provide and operate the Service, including generating strategy suggestions and maintaining your hand history and statistics;
  • manage your account, credit balance, and payment orders;
  • secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
  • respond to your support requests;
  • monitor, debug, and improve the Service;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your hand data for advertising.

3. How We Share Information

Service providers. We use a small number of third-party providers to operate the Service, and share with each only what is necessary:

  • Identity provider — handles registration and sign-in; processes your email and profile data under its own privacy policy.
  • Payment processor — handles top-up payments (including crypto payments). Your payment details (card numbers, wallet keys) are processed by the payment provider, not by us; we receive only order status and amount.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — our servers and network/CDN providers process traffic and stored data as needed to run the Service.
  • AI model providers — when a strategy feature is powered by a third-party AI model, the structured game state of the hand being analyzed (cards, positions, stacks, bets) is sent to that provider to generate the suggestion. We do not send your email or identity alongside hand data for this purpose.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law or valid requests by public authorities, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of us, our users, or third parties.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We may use and share aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

4. Data Retention

  • Account data is kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Hand history and statistics are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted.
  • Billing and transaction records are kept as long as necessary for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging, then deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and correction. You can view and manage your profile, hand history, and billing records within the Service.
  • Deletion. You may delete individual hand records within the Service, and you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing support@poker-cat.com. We may retain data we are legally required to keep (for example, payment records).
  • Cookies. You can control cookies via your browser settings, as described in Section 1.B.

If you are located in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection laws (such as the GDPR), you may have additional rights — including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@poker-cat.com.

6. International Transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than your own. Where your data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised. For material changes we will provide additional notice within the Service or by email.
